January Louis Vuitton, Beijing At Taikoo Li Sanlitun, Louis Vuitton opened a four-story flagship in the complex’s newly revamped North district. The space spans fashion, accessories, fragrance, and home, alongside a café and rooftop bar. Designed by Jun Aoki, the first Louis Vuitton café in Beijing serves lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea, with menu items like Peking duck rolls curated by Chef Leonardo Zambrino. The boutique introduces the fabric-first label’s understated womenswear, menswear, and accessories offering to a new audience, while also advancing a retail concept first explored during its 15th anniversary year. Boucheron, Shanghai Boucheron debuted its first China flagship in Shanghai’s Xintiandi district, marking a deliberate step in its gradual expansion across Asia. CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne prioritized building a strong network of over 17 mainland boutiques before selecting a flagship site, ultimately choosing a historic shikumen setting. Tiffany & Co., Beijing Expanding its lineup of prominent flagship boutiques in Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu, Tiffany & Co. has introduced a new flagship store at Taikoo Li Sanlitun. The Beijing location stands out not only for its refined artistic interior but also for its striking exterior design. Created by Dutch architecture firm MVRDV, the façade features a flowing glass layer that seems to shift and transform as viewers move around it, enveloping the building in a dynamic visual effect. Balenciaga, Guangzhou Today, on March 27, Balenciaga has unveiled the expanded reopening of its Guangzhou flagship at Taikoo Hui, marking a significant evolution in its China retail strategy. Nearly doubling in size to 572 square meters, the redesigned space reflects a growing emphasis on immersive, multifunctional luxury environments that blend product, storytelling, and cultural programming. Building on the house’s “Raw Architecture” concept, the store juxtaposes stripped-back industrial elements—such as distressed concrete, exposed ceiling systems, and pavement-like flooring—with high-gloss mall surroundings, while digital screens and curated lighting introduce a dynamic, content-driven dimension. The reopening coincides with the debut of creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first collection for the brand. Flagship openings in 2026 point to a more focused approach: fewer stores, stronger concepts, and deeper localization.
